The studio is located close to Elephant & Castle, the main transport hub in south-central London. The studio is outside the Congestion Charge Zone and has secure off-road parking for those coming by car. It is also well-served by buses, trains and the underground (Northern and Bakerloo lines). Many buses stop on Walworth Road and Kennington Park Road near to the studio. There is a secure area inside the studio for cyclists to keep their bikes during the lesson.
By Underground:
From Kennington tube station turn immediately left and walk along Braganza Street to the end. Turn left onto Manor Place, then first right at the mini roundabout onto Penton Place. Turn left at Penrose Street and walk towards the railway bridge – the studio is just before you reach the bridge on the right-hand side of the road.
From Elephant & Castle tube station follow the signs to the exit labelled Shopping Centre (the Northern Line exit). Turn left out of the station and walk around the shopping centre keeping it on your left with the road on your right. Go under the railway bridge and walk down Walworth Road for approximately 5 minutes. Penrose Street is on the right. The studio is just past the railway bridge on the left side of the road.
By Bus:
The following bus routes all stop on Walworth Road one minute from the studio: 12, 35, 40, 45, 148, 171, 176, 468, 68, P5
These bus routes stop at Kennington Station (see above for directions from Kennington station): 133, 155, 333, 415
By Train:
From Elephant & Castle mainline station take the exit onto Elephant Road (don’t go through the shopping centre). Turn right out of the station and go down Walworth Road. Penrose Street is on the right after about 5 minutes walking.
We run a home tuition service to provide lessons at the student’s home, workplace or school if the student has his/her own drum kit. We also have links to other drum teachers and drumming studios throughout Greater London and the surrounding counties and we are part of the London Drum Teacher Network.
