Make It / Break It
Mass participation workshop (11am to 5pm) and same-day premiere (6.30pm)
This project at The Southbank Centre at Waterloo is looking for over 100 amateur musicians of all levels of ability to take part in an all-day workshop, followed by an opportunity to perform the piece that is created during the day at a public show in the evening at the Royal Festival Hall Ballroom.

Make It / Break It (part of the London Jazz Festival) brings together amateur musicians and vocalists of all abilities and all instruments to take part in this all-day workshop with guitarist Chris Sharkey (trioVD, Acoustic Ladyland, Shiver), creating a new piece which will be premiered at Southbank Centre’s Clore Ballroom at 6.30pm.
This piece will play around with improvisation and will be an opportunity to experiment with a variety of methods of music-making and play with a large ensemble of diverse musicians and instruments.
