Join us in London Waterloo (SE1) for a journey into the “Rhythms of the World” led by Canadian drummer & percussionist Adam Teixeira.
World Rhythms on the drum kit
This inspiring workshop examines “world” rhythms traditionally played using hand percussion, and demonstrates methods you can use to creatively apply these rhythms to the drum kit to generate ideas for grooves and fills.

Suitable for all levels
Whether you are new to drumming or if you’re an experienced player, there is something for all levels in this inspiring workshop. Nobody will be picked out to perform anything or asked to do anything which is outside of his/her comfort zone. There will be fun interactive opportunities to participate as a group.
Our events are social as well as educational. Meet other drummers learning drums and a team of experienced tutors. As part of your ticket you’ll get a delicious free drink at the wonderful cafe, plus free snacks and refreshments.
Adam is a drummer/percussionist from Toronto, Canada. His extensive experience in jazz and world music have led to many opportunities to travel around the globe to perform and study music from different traditional cultures. Adam continues to develop these rhythmic vocabularies in his unique approach to the drum kit and performance.
