About the workshops and events:
Elephant Drums offers a unique approach to drum lessons. We specialise in one-to-one lessons which are individually tailored around the student's aims and objectives. Our flexible private lessons are all about every learner as an individual. Unlike a typical "drum school" this approach enables us to teach all levels of student on a flexible ongoing basis.
Drumming events add a unique community aspect to learning drums.
Group workshops, clinics, and masterclasses provide another perspective on the things you learn during your one-to-one lessons. We also help organise social events and band sessions so you can meet other people learning drums and other instruments. Whether you are an experienced player or just starting out, the workshops and events are a valuable - and unique - way to supplement private drum lessons.
Taking part in drum events:
Your drum tutor will keep you informed of events and drum workshops, and will specifically recommend the ones to attend which are most aligned with your personal interests and learning aims.
All learners at Elephant Drums can take part in the events (occasionally they are open to the public as well). There is always a drum event, workshop, social or group activity coming up in the weeks ahead.
Access to the optional group drum events is one of the great benefits of taking 1-to-1 drum lessons with Elephant Drums.
There are lots more events, workshops and team-building activities available. We run bespoke workshops for organisations and companies that would like a drum workshop for their staff. These private events do not get published on our website or in the events directory.
Learners at Elephant Drums will also know there are occasionally other drum events which don't get published online. Your drum tutor will tell you about any secret events coming up that can't be publicised. For example, it has been known that a famous touring drummer will give a special exclusive masterclass and prefer it is done on an informal "under-the-radar" basis, without their management or fans knowing about it. This keeps this type of event very special to those in the know! Be prepared for these to pop up at the last minute.
