Extended & extra-long drum lessons

Drum Pass discount

The Drum Pass pricing is considerably cheaper than the Non-Member price. The pricing in the table above includes the Drum Pass member discount averaged across 12 lessons when purchased as a block (course) of lessons. This enables a direct comparison between the options.

How often are the lessons?

The Drum Pass is intended for learners who want to take regular lessons on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

If the learner prefers to have lessons on a casual basis (less frequently than once a month, or as-and-when), then Casual lessons are available at the Non-member pricing without a Drum Pass.

Can 12 lessons be paid for in advance?

Yes - but it is entirely up to the learner! Drum Pass members can choose to pay for sets of 12 lessons in one go if preferred, but there is no obligation to pay upfront for a block of lessons. One of the advantages of the Drum Pass is that it spreads the cost of the lessons over time and it is easier to control your schedule and budget for the lessons.

There is no discount for Non-members who are not on the Drum Pass, even if booking a block of lessons in one go. The option to block-book lessons is an exclusive extra perk of Drum Pass membership.

For Drum Pass members who wish to pay for 12 lessons at a time, the pricing (with the Drum Pass discounts) for the lessons are shown below.

12 Standard lessons = £432
12 Extended lessons = £552
12 Extra-Long lessons = £660

What about Pay-As-You-Go?

Most learners prefer to spread the cost of lessons over time. For Drum Pass Members who prefer the Pay-As-You-Go method, the pricing per lesson is:

Standard lessons are £40 each
Extended lessons are £50 each
Extra-Long lessons are £60 each

Drum Pass members can choose pay-as-you-go lessons or pay upfront for a block of 12 at the rates shown above. Both options include access to the same membership benefits. The £25 monthly membership fee is separate from lesson fees.

Buffer time

Each drum lesson includes an additional 10 minutes of "buffer time" beyond the tuition time (Standard 50 mins, Extended 65 mins, Extra-Long 80 mins). Initially introduced during the Covid-19 pandemic for ventilation and minimising contact with others, this buffer time is now used to accommodate minor delays, resetting the studio, and managing scheduling variations. It can be removed for more convenient scheduling during busy times and is typically unnecessary for online lessons or house visits, applying mainly to lessons at the drum studios.
