An afternoon with master drummer Robert Castelli.

Before a sold-out set of gigs in London with his super band The Boom Quartet, join us to spend a couple of hours in the company of drummer and composer Robert Castelli. Robert will be giving an exclusive insight into his playing approach, creative ideas, and techniques for improving your drumming. This session will focus on Groove & Independence.

About the event:

It will be a relaxed and inspiring event, hosted by Elephant Drums, and the event takes place at the recently refurbished private music room at The Finsbury (Manor House tube station is 1 minute walk). The master class starts at 2pm and will last for approx 2 hours.

Whether you have been playing drums for years or just starting out, this master class features something for everyone and will give you a unique opportunity to learn from a touring drummer. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask your own questions during a practical Q&A with demonstrations and exercises to take home.

About Robert Castelli:

Robert Castelli is a drummer from New York, based in Vienna. In addition to learning drums from his father (a pro drummer for 40 years), he has studied with some of the best drummers in the world, including Gary Chester, Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez, Ed Soph, Kim Plainfield, Robbie Gonzalez, Tony “Thunder” Smith, Robbie Ameen, and Joe Ascione. With a truly “worldly” approach to drumming, Robert’s playing is innovative and inspiring for drummers from all backgrounds and all types of musical experience.
