Bob is a passionate drummer, percussionist, composer and music teacher. He is a highly versatile educator, and teaches many different musical genres. He has performed and taught internationally, having studied drumming from a young age at some of Europe’s most ground-breaking contemporary music education institutions.
Bob’s teaching style helps learners to develop musicality, confidence and technique, and encourages persistence through motivation. Bob shares his extensive valuable insights into the music industry with his learners to give them a strong start in their drumming journey. Whether the learner’s goal is to play in bands, or simply to learn for the personal challenge and the pure enjoyment of playing the drums, Bob adapts his teaching to suit each learner’s specific needs.
Bob’s educational background includes SRH University of Popular Arts (HDPK) in Berlin and Rock Academy in Tilburg where he gained his Bachelor of Music (BMus) degree in Drums, Percussion and Band Ensemble. He moved to London in 2018 to work with the renowned Urban Soul Orchestra and as a drum teacher. Bob is fluent in English and Dutch and can conduct drum lessons in either language or in German if required.
Location
Bob is a visiting tutor who travels to students’ homes to teach lessons in Central and South-West London.
