Dave Grosz is a professional drummer and experienced drum tutor based in Camden.
With over two decades of drumming experience, Dave has worked with a wide range of learners, from complete beginners to more experienced drummers looking to refine their playing. He has been teaching with Elephant Drums since 2015 and helped establish the teaching method as well as both the original Camden Road studio and the current Kentish Town studio.
Originally from Israel, Dave studied at Rimon College of Music and went on to teach professionally at Ashkelon City Conservatorium. He has also toured and recorded with bands including Laid8 and Cairo Son, performing across the UK, Scotland and Israel.
Dave’s teaching is friendly, energetic and practical. His lessons are shaped around each student’s goals, whether they want to build confidence behind the kit, improve technique, play favourite songs, develop groove and timing, or understand the drums in more depth. He has a particular interest in technique, including the Moeller technique, and enjoys helping students make clear, steady progress while keeping lessons enjoyable and musical.
