Born and raised in Santiago Chile, Tomas started playing drums when he was still at school. Later he studied under the tutelage of Sassoon Levi and Robert Zamora.
In 2002, he moved to Barcelona (Spain) to continue with his music studies, studying Jazz Performance at the Taller de Musics and perfecting his drumming with Aldo Caviglia and Quim Soler. Attracted by the musical history and eclectic music scene, he moved to London in 2011, where he earned his BMus (Hons) degree at London College of Contemporary of Music. He has toured and recorded all over Europe and the US with bands including Go Tell The Eskimo and The Kindling.
Tomas is an experienced and enthusiastic drum teacher, having taught for more than 15 years both privately and in music teaching institutions. His lessons are suitable for all ages, from beginners to advanced level. He is aware that every person (and every student) is different and has different goals. Students studying with Tomas make strong and confident improvement throughout the lessons, in a very relaxed but serious environment.
