Following the easing of the lockdown, we are cautiously and carefully restarting the 1-to-1 drum lessons over the coming weeks.
The remote video lessons are going to continue for anyone that wants to keep having lessons online.
Re-starting lessons
We know many of you are super-keen to get back to drumming at the studios again (especially if you haven't had access to a drum kit at home).
Helpfully, drum kits enforce a 2m+ barrier between tutor and learner.
If you feel safe to travel to the studios, please get in touch so we can discuss getting your drum lessons running.
If you are new to Elephant Drums, the booking system is open again so you can book a taster lesson.

1-to-1 drum lessons
To help us re-start the 1-to-1 drum lessons as safely as possible, we are asking everyone to please take a few extra precautions when coming to the drum studios.
Please note: the group activities and workshops are still suspended, so they will remain online via Zoom/Skype for the foreseeable future.
What we are doing:
We are taking extra steps to help make the learning environment as safe as possible. For example:
- Keeping the equipment and surfaces cleaned after drum lessons.
- Opening all doors for people coming to the studios, so nobody else needs to touch door handles.
- We are cycling/driving/walking rather than using public transport.
- Adding extra time between lessons for change-overs, and staggering lesson start times.
What everyone can do:
When you come to a drum lesson, please follow all the government guidelines, but also...
- Bring your own drum sticks to lessons. (What sticks to get? Help and advice here!)
- Practice good hand hygiene before, during and after the lesson, especially if you touch something.
- Maintain the 2m distance (as mentioned above, drum kits create a physical barrier, so for this reason it is best to stay seated at the drum kit for the lesson, as much as is possible).
- Avoid travelling by public transport if you can (but wear a face covering if you do).
Thanks for your patience and understanding during this difficult period.
See you back behind a drum kit soon!!
