Following the Government's "Roadmap out of Lockdown", all in-person drum lessons are now available again.
The roadmap:
6 March 2021 - Education reopens.
12 April 2021 - Home tutoring restarts and all remaining restrictions on who can have lessons lifted.
17 May - Outdoor activities for groups of up to 30 can restart.
21 June (delayed) 19 July - No legal limits on activities indoors or outdoors.

The roadmap means that all in-person drum tutoring is available from 12 April 2021, and we hope to be able to resume group events and social activities in the summer (subject to review),
Safety measures
Please follow government guidelines and maintain physical distancing.
Here are the additional safety measures to help make the drum lessons as safe and comfortable as possible for everyone:
Please do not go ahead with a planned drum lesson if any of the following have happened:
What we are doing:
We are taking extra steps to help make the learning environment as safe as possible. For example:
- Keeping the equipment and surfaces cleaned after drum lessons.
- Opening all doors for people coming to the studios, so nobody else needs to touch door handles.
- We are cycling/driving/walking rather than using public transport.
- Adding extra time between lessons for change-overs, and staggering lesson start times.
What everyone can do:
When you come to a drum lesson, please follow all the government guidelines, but also...
- Bring your own drum sticks to lessons. (What sticks to get? Help and advice here!)
- Practice good hand hygiene before, during and after the lesson, especially if you touch something.
- Maintain the 2m distance (as mentioned above, drum kits create a physical barrier, so for this reason it is best to stay seated at the drum kit for the lesson, as much as is possible).
- Avoid travelling by public transport if you can (but wear a face covering if you do).

Face-to-face drum lessons
When having drum lessons, the drum kits enforce a 2m+ barrier between tutor and learner. This is helpful in maintaining physical distancing.
If you were previously having lessons and you're ready to restart, please get in touch so we can get your drum lessons going again.
If you are new to Elephant Drums, the booking system is open again so you can book a taster lesson.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
We can't wait to see you behind a drum kit soon!
Online drum lessons
No need to travel - have your drum lessons anywhere!
Personalised drum lessons take place over the internet via video.
Lessons are completely tailored to each individual learner's needs, aims and previous experience. It doesn't matter what type of drums (or none) you have at home to get started. Free setup help & advice is available before your first lesson.
