Drum Practice Studios

Finding a studio for drum practice can be a challenge. We are often asked to recommend rehearsal studios to our students so they can practise drumming between lessons.

We also get a lot of enquiries from non-students (other drummers) asking if we hire out our teaching rooms and drum kits for practice.

Most of the time we're busy doing drum lessons in the teaching rooms. Our own students can usually add some free practice time at the end of their lesson if there is a gap before the next student is due. Unfortunately we can't offer this to drummers that aren't having lessons with us.

If you haven't had drum lessons with Elephant Drums before you can get started with our introductory offer.

We have updated the details and rates, and expanded the list to include all studios offering solo drummer practice deals to drum students. All the details are found in your Drum Pass Welcome Pack.

Solo drummer rates

We've negotiated special rates for solo drummers wanting to practise drums and hire a drum kit (i.e. not for band practice or jamming with others - the studios have separate rates for that!).

Usually the studios don't have a public solo drummer rate, so this is one of the few places you'll find this information.

Many thanks to Mary for compiling this article and for negotiating with all the studios.

Please note: we do not receive any commission from the studios listed and none of the studios have paid to be featured in the guide. Studios may withdraw their discount offer at any time.

The Studios

The rates shown are for solo drummer practice only. Remember bands will pay more, so if you’re looking to rehearse with your band be sure to check the studio’s website for their current price list. Bands will also usually be subject to a minimum booking, such as 3 or 4 hours per rehearsal. Solo drummers can usually book per hour.

Practice studio special offers are available to Drum Pass members.

The Studio Listings

The studio listing have been updated and moved from this page.

In order to keep the website up to date, and provide the most relevant information to the right audience, we now publish an online version of the list of studios (intended for any drummer in London) and a private list of studios (intended only for Drum Pass subscribers and Elephant Drums students). Some studios are public studios with their details online, others are private practice rooms only available by appointment.

Please click on the image below to visit the public list of studios on its own dedicated web page.

Click on the Drum Pass Member's Pack image to find out more about joining as a member and starting drum lessons and gaining access to the drum practice studios which do not share their details publicly.
